are we safer with books outside costa rica?
Seems to be rumors everywhere that feds are in costa rica. From everything I've been able to read today they are there helping costa rican govt stop narcotic trafficing, however the political environment there does seem troubleing. I read at another forum that has costa rican bookie chat, that none of the "gringos" were in the office today. Not trying to cause panic, I just wonder if antiqua wouln't be the safest location for a book, since they are
definately opposed to this legislation and have a wto ruling against US. I also wonder what kind of stroke USA has in other locales, say Jamaica? Any insight on safest locations, if there is such a thing, would be appreciated. |

The rumors in Costa Rica have been circulating before Christmas. Christmas was supposed to be the big hit. It’s almost like if someone starts this rumor over and over again it will eventually become true. Some of these books have been in Costa Rica for years and have given a lot of money to different charities and really help the economy. I don’t think it’s the location we should be cautious about but rather the reputation of the book.
I guess it should be interesting after the Super Bowl passes and if nothing should happen again I am sure the rumors will be floating in Costa Rica just in time for March Madness. I am not mocking you in anyway Robert because I know it’s a concern but I think a lot of these rumors and speculating are unfounded. Everyone should continue to be smart about things during this time. JMO
