When you pronounce Wednesday, do you put the N before the D like this: "Wendsday"?

I go out of my way to pronounce it the way it is spelled, and with 3 syllables; it throws people for a bit of a loop.... I like that.

I also go out of my way to pronounce February correctly -- seems most people omit the first R.

And I make fun of the way many people talk around here, because they used to make fun of my Boston accent (which I have lost now by forcing myself to pronounce my R's for many years -- really just got sick of people asking me to say "Park your Car").

Folks around here say things like: "Fixin to" and "Over Yonder". They pronounce Wednesday as "Wenzdee" -- actually, all of the "Day"s get pronounced as "Dee". And of course there's that damn "Y'all".

A guy told me about how he cracked his winder the other day, so I asked him if by "winder" he meant "window". He didn't get it.

Sorry, just rambling a bit. I reckon I'm fixin to head over yonder and get me one of them there little old beers. -- Or maybe I should pahk my cah around the cohnah from the bah and go get a friggin beeyah!!!!
