Arrow Weekly Review from BetCRIS - Bettors cashes $30k ML

Bookmakers enjoyed another great NFL Sunday this week with some major upsets. The biggest result was Miami who came from nowhere and defeated Chicago when they were a large 13 point underdog. One Customer here at BetCRIS.com picked Miami to win though at a luxurious price of +750 and collected $30,000 from a $4000 bet. It was actually amazing how many straight up win bets that were placed on Miami. Teaser bettors had another tough week, mainly due to Chicago's loss as they were involved in nearly every Teaser and parlay that was wagered.

College football bettors faired a little better than NFL bettors, but it was still a weekend for Bookmakers.

The regular season of NBA Basketball kicked off this week, and so far it's been our customers who have grinded out a nice profit with most of the ‘wise guy' money getting the results they need. The NBA games for the past week have seen some huge movements, especially on the game totals, but hopefully that will settle down as the season progresses.

Best games for the house...

After a tough start to the week, Louisville provided us with our first good result when they defeated West Virginia 44-34. West Virginia was a popular pick with bettors after Louisville opened a 3 point favorite and closed lower at only a 2 point favorite, but all the money was for West Virginia.

Wake forest provided a nice upset victory over Boston college at home 21-14. Even with the early ‘opening' line of Boston College -6 and closing lower at only 4 ˝ points, most of the real money came on Boston college -4 ˝ points.

Sunday NFL was terrific with many good games, but the best result to ‘break up' Teaser's and parlays was Miami defeating Chicago31-13. Chicago has been on a dream run, and many people ‘assumed' that Chicago would win by plenty. Don't get me wrong though as there was lots of Miami money at +13 ˝ points and down to +12 ˝ at kick off, but with so many Teaser players now, this result was terrific for us.

To cap off a great Sunday, Indianapolis defeated New England at New England 27-20 to stay undefeated. After Indianapolis barely winning their last few games, bettors decided that New England would be too good so much so that New England closed -3 (-115) after opening up a 2 point favorite.

Best games for the public...

Ohio originally opened a 4 ˝ point favorite to beat Eastern Michigan but they closed a 6 ˝ point favorite with lots of support. To make thing worse for Bookmakers was the late money which came for Eastern Michigan at +6 ˝ points, so when Ohio won 16-10, the 6 point margin was not nice for bookmakers.

Mississippi State was a popular ‘Dog' pick for Saturday with Alabama opening a 15 ˝ point favorite and closing lower at 14 ˝ points when the game kicked. Mississippi State won the game outright 24-16.

One bright spot in an otherwise bad Sunday for bettors was Baltimore's 26-20 victory over Cincinnati. While Cincinnati did fight back, they could not overcome the 14-0 start by Baltimore in the first 5 minutes.

Until next week,

Shane, Betcris Sports desk.
