What athlete or performer had a "hall of fame" career

Going.... Only to blow it with drugs, breaking the law, or some other way?

Mark bird fydrich was going places until drinking in bars and fighting got him hurt... Maybe not a hof'er at the time but had some dominating games.

Tyson definitely....actually I think alot of boxers tend to have a propensity for this kind of thing

Always thought Lawrence Phillips was NASTY at Nebraska and would have been a great RB.
