What athlete would you use as a role model example for your kids?

I know we've done threads like this but I believe the overwhelming amount of responses last time was Tiger Woods. So if you had to choose someone now who would it be?

And yes I know the simple answer is no one but that's not reality.

I've thought to myself & it's hard to think of many players.

I guess if I had to pick one I'm thinking Derek Jeter. The guy is without controversy, displays leadership quality & is a true professional.

Thoughts?

The days of pretending that athletes are wonderful people who are capable of doing anything except excelling in their own sport are long gone

I would always tell a kid that athletes are only examples of how to excel within a sport, and their personal behavior and actions for the most part demonstrate the exact opposite of role models
