Mike Tyson would have already been in jail for life without chance of parole by about 20 if it wasn't for boxing.

there isnt enough room in this forum for all of the names. how many guys do 4 years of college and cant put a sentence together. didnt iverson have to get a pardon from the governor of n.j. to go to georgetown from a riot he [alledgedly] started in a bowling alley. if it wasnt for pro sports the prisions would be even more overcrowded.
an ex-d lineman with the panthers [peters] has just wrote a book on his addictions [herion, crack, alcohol,...etc]. he spent 4 years at nebraska and cant tell you which classes he took. an excellent book if you have time.
