What is the best deal you have ever gotten on tickets to a sporting event/concert?

In the spirit of yankee23's thread...

What's the best hookup or deal you ever got for a big event and how'd you get it?

Not sure this is my best pull, but still pretty excited about it. A friend randomly called me last week and got me a ticket to the Ohio State - USC game this September for face value ($75). I was going out anyway to visit friends, tailgate and celebrate my birthday but wasn't having any luck with the demand for this year's biggest college game.

The Cougar took me to see Jimmy Buffet ($150 ticket), and all I had to do was get drunk, eat, and well, I shouldn't get into that, but that was my idea...

My bookie got my friends and I front row tickets to Alice Cooper on the Raise Your Fist and Yell tour at the Boston Garden. Faster Pussycat opened and they were awesome!! And, of course, Alice was on top of his game spitting out metal versions of all the classicks.

We got covered in blood.. What a show!!

Yeah same type deal here, we get the box for a few Sabres games each year, all free. Good stuff, although we got it a ton more when they were on that playoff run two years ago, last year not so much when they sucked. Kinda backwards if you ask me

this reminds me of my one and only time in the drive-in cinema, we had to pay 12€, i gave the dude a 20€ bill and a 2€ coin... he took the coin and gave back a 20€ bill and left my bill in the hand... when the movie was running for 30 min (just likwe 3 cars in the cinema) he returned and kindly asked me, if it is possible that he made a fault with the change... i said 'dunno' and pulled out the pocket... then he said that he has a 20€ bill missing and a 10€ too much, so he gave me the 10€ and got the 20€ back... the 8€ i made with that movie i lost on the way home when the police tards lasered me with 10kmh too much
