Ottawa--Capital City of Canada:
--------------------------------

-City of about 1M incl subburbs--nice size and still growing.

-Being a Gov town they try to keep utmost control on riff raffs, criminal activities, scumbags, etc.

-Money is no object for this city--City Council always vote for nice projects and infrastructure.

-Women galore--ratio about 9:1 to men so we have lots of choice.

-Very clean city--air quality & scenic (physically)

-Rideau Canal becomes the longest outdoor skating rink in the world in the winter season--the skateway is 4.8 miles long. (The canal was opened in 1832 as a precaution in case of war with the United States and is still in use today, with most of its original structures intact).

-Decent Museums and plenty of Historic Sites in and around this city.

I could go on and on...

Unfortunately, being the Capital City of Canada the rest of this country think it's a city of thieves because of the politicians.

Montana.

Likes:

-Wide open spaces, 1.5 hours from mountains--camping summertime, snowmobiling wintertime (world class snowmobiling).
-Pretty good hunting from 10 min out to hour out. Great elk hunting 2-2.5 hours away.
-cheap beer. can find a beer for $3 or less any day of the week.
-4 lakes within 30 min to 1.5 hrs away
-4 seasons (yes, I like snow)
-I live in the biggest city of Montana, Billings, pop 100k. takes 20 min to go across town. 30 @ "rush hour"...lol @ people saying traffic sucks (I've lived in Portland, SF, Dallas...)
-cheap, non-stop flights on Allegiant to PHX, LAS, LAX
-minor league baseball (Reds rookie league team). $3 tix, $2 hot dogs, $4 micro brews (take the family to a game for $50-$60 bucks including my beer)
-medical facilities. believe it or not, we have 2 very good hospitals here.

Dislikes:

-550 miles from Den/SLC...850 from SEA/MSP, long drive to catch a pro game.
-other than Allegiant, flying is expensive
-taxes (one of 3 or 4 states w/ state income tax...and we pay property taxes too)
-lazy Indians. there's a few good ones but a whole lot of dirtbags. rudest fukks on the planet.
-gas prices. we have 3 refinery's here and some of the most expensive gas in the 48 states. (mostly due to highway taxes--which I think we're near the top)

Most: Cricket is still just an insect here in the US

like: affordable housing market, excellent medical care, good universities, nice airport, steelers, penguins, casino within 5 mins from my house, epic amount of neighborhood bars

hate: weather, shitty roads, construction that blocks not only a main road but all the auxiliary routes, construction takes forever, that terrible yinzer pittsburgh accent, all the sweetleafs running around, too many chain restaurants, difficult to follow road signs, absolutely nothing going on in the city itself ever, county is incredibly corrupt, highest parking taxes in the country, beer tax (yes really), shitty public transportation system, car inspection...what a crock of shit, too close to WV, pirates ownership
