I'm looking at a website of NCAA matchups and was wondering if someone could tell me what this means.
it says "Value index comparison to las vegas line:" then it has: Auburn: value index rating: 67 South Carolina: value index rating: 56 The next column is Value Index Auburn: line -7.0 S. Car: Edge 7.0 I know this is probably a rookie question but I figured I'd learn somewhere. Thanks for the help, Zilla |

The number(s) represent a Power Rating for each team-there are various formulas-in this case, there is a 11 point differential here and the spread is 13.5 last i checked, so there is a slight edge to S.Carolina in this game according to these ratings.
