What The Hell Has Happened To Joe Bucks voice??

When I heard him doing the super bowl he sounded normal with a regular voice. Then I have heard him throughout the baseball season & it sounded almost robotic. I thought something was wrong with my TV or something, but it was just his voice.

Does anyone know if he is sick or something?

Can't remember exactly what he had, but he was sick. Paralyzed one of his vocal cords, I think. Voice went away. He has been working through it as it comes back. He said his doc said he can't make it worse by talking, that it will come back eventually.

Joe Buck had a virus that developed in the nerves of his left vocal cord in mid-February shortly after he broadcast the Superbowl in 2011. He has made progress, but it is taking longer than anticipated, which was a month or so to get his voice back to the way it was.

That is unfortunate to say the least, and I hope he fully recovers from this. Thanks for the info friends!
