What important piece of sports history have you seen live?

With Jeter about to get 3000 hits, it made me ask what history have you seen live?

It could be a milestone, perfect game, Super Bowl or anything you want.

Thoughts?

I was able to watch Cal Ripken's final game ever played.

It was probably the last time Camden Yards sold out... lol

Last game ever played at Yankee Stadium.

First game played at new Yankee Stadium.

Sports' history??...prob not so much relative to other events, to me it was huge.

Attended the last game of Cal Ripken's consecutive game streak, against the Yankees at Camden Yards. Pure coincidence, as no one knew at the time that the streak would end that day.

I've been to a bunch of games that had cool stuff happen in.
Nothing totally awesome, 2 that stick out are.

Saw the Giants/Bears NFC Playoff game in 1985 (first football game) when Sean Landeta missed the ball punting. Amazing how long he continued to punt in the NFL.

In the bleachers at Wrigley, Glenallen Hill hit the longest ball I'm ever going to see hit, in 2000, to the rooftop on Waveland. I have 4 ticket stubs from the game that I made into collectable frames. The cost on the ticket was $6, it makes me to think how much ticket prices have gone up in 11 years. Have been offered $125 for one, going to hold onto these, the bleachers weren't close to being sold out that day, and I REALLY doubt anyone else is going to hit one on any roof again.
