Angry What was the most crushing loss you can remember for your team at any time?

For me it was that Monday night game against the Jets in 2000 when the Dolphins blew a 30-7 lead in New York and lost 40-37 in overtime.

There were other heartbreakers like in 84 when the Dolphins lost to the 49ers in the Super Bowl – that was my first real pain as a fan and it’s only got worse (lol). In 1994 when the Dolphins lost 22-21 to the Chargers in the playoffs with one of their best teams and in 1999 when the JJ and the Dolphins lost 62-7 in Marino’s last game

But none of them made me quick as sick as that Monday night choke job!

when the chargers lost to the pats last year in a game they had no business losing...and blowing it in the worst way possible. they had such an easy path to the super bowl and blew it with some fluke ass plays. and then 2nd place isnt even close

As soon as I saw the title I thought of the Jets MNF game Jack, with Vinny pulling off the miracle - still makes me wanna puke. The only other game that comes to mind is Drew Bledsoe firing off a hail mary type touchdown pass in overtime final game of the season in 1993. It was a meaningless game for the Patriots but it eliminated the Dolphins from the playoffs. The game wasn't even on TV where I was but I just remember the sportscentre highlight coming on and I was sick to my stomach afterwards...

can't remember who against, but back in 04 flutie went over the top at the buzzer during a sunday night game for something like a 65 yard td that was 100% meaningless.

the details are still blocked from trauma/alcohol invoved therapy.

1. Bengals get to within 34 seconds of a Super Bowl title in '89 only to have John Taylor and some guy named Montana snatch it away. Still hurts seeing as how shitty this team is run by the Brown family.

2. OSU getting obliterated last year by Florida in the title game. Ginn's opening TD on the kickoff only made it hurt more.
