Question What are some dumb laws in your state?

Or Federal laws?

Besides the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) of course!

Any you can think of, off hand?

did texas finally do away with passengers being allowed to drink an alcoholic beverage in a moving vehicle? i remember it was okay to do that, but heard they had changed it to be an unlawful act...also liked the law they had back in the early 90s where a kid could drink at a bar if the father or mother were present

Yep -can't have an open container in the car - period. Also, if you buy liquor beer at the store, it needs to be in the back seat (or out of reach of the driver).

I'm not sure if the parent thing is still good.
