What are some of the most lopsided trades or best free agent signings ever?

Spinoff of Ron Mexico thread

Randy Moss for a 4th round pick was obviously a steal and a good place to start.

Drew Brees signing with Saints was a pretty good for New Orleans. Pretenders to contenders

a few trades i'm pretty familiar with:

LT, Tim Dwight for Michael Vick

Rivers, Merriman, Kaeding, Oben for Eli Manning

Adrian Gonzalez and Chris Young for Aki Otsuka and Adam Eaton

No problem. This is always talked about locally. We passed on Brees twice.

Wanny drafted Jamal Fletcher when we had Sam Madison and Patrick Surtain in prime and we needed a QB & then Saban signed Culpepper at the advice of the doctors who thought Brees arm could be done. Ouch!

Not just the fins, 30 other teams thought he was toast. At least the fins worked him out, most other teams wouldnt even do that. I still laugh to this day where everyone clowns on the Chargers for letting him go when 31 other teams thought the same and the saints to some degree. Chargers even offered him a contract but he thought he was worth more. They had Rivers waiting to take over anyways so they said goodbye
