In the US pros I rate them all pretty similar. Now alot of people will say the NBA.....however basketball is a tough game to officiate, in particular for line calls such as who the ball came off and certain fouls. This is only made worse for officials by the viewers having numerous slow motion replays, that they often don't have.
I really don't think they are poorer quality of officials, its the nature of the sport. On global terms the NRL (National rugby league) in Australia I rate hands down the worst officials in any sport I follow. Last edited by dave nz; 05-31-2010 at 08:16 AM.

nba worst without doubt. i think nfl refs do a pretty good job(as indicated by low reversal rate on challenges).

Worst: Boxing..........NBA refs are moody and corrupt, but for such a fast paced game, they do ok.
