What is worse when your getting drilled in high school football

I was breaking down film on our next opponent for this Friday. We won barely last friday but our team is very young. Anyway the team we are playing played against a powerhouse here in Ohio in Division 5 who makes the playoffs every year. Genoa the team that is really good score 21 points in the first quarter. In the 3rd quarter already up 40 they were kicking field goals on first down. There kicker is really good and they obviously were trying to get him some work in, but is it worse for the opposing team that 3 or 4 times the team is kicking field goals on first down? To me it may seem like the other coach is being classy and not wanting to run the score up but I think i would be more embarrassed that they are kicking on first downs in my opinion. What do you guys think?

Not sure that would fly down here. Pretty easy to run clock and go home.

it was the 3rd qter...you run the ball and most likely will score a td...kicking a fg is 4 less pts...seems okay to me...it isn't like you are going to fumble the ball on purpose to give the ball back to prevent scoring

saw a D3 college team kick a FG on 1st and goal in a blow out, you may have heard of Mount Union....IMO, I would rather get blown out big time than have a team do that or kneel on it 3 times then kick the FG....if you're up that big, put in your 4th stringers and run it right up the gut every play, sit on the ball and keep the clock moving

could do what they do in little league...and have the mercy rule in place...but being killed by another team is a lesson learned...get better...not the team's fault that is scoring at will...put a defense in there that is worth a crap...if not...take your lumps

Run 3 times then kick the fkn ball......Thats just like going deep each play...bottom line is its abnormal to kick the ball on first or second down which in turn is embarrassing to any team that has it done to them.
