What is your current policy on bookmaker errors?

I'm sure most of us have seen them. I do all the time, last one was an hour ago Ladbrokes had the WNBA game between SA and Seattle closing at 3pm EST and the game started at 12.30pm EST.

So got in contact and told them of the error. My rule is if the book has been good to me, I will usually tell.

What say you?

have never seen it be that far off. usually it might be open for a few minutes after game starts.

if I saw what you did today would probably just ignore it and assume it is a software issue that wouldn't hold up if I tried to bet it.

Bet Jamaica had in their golf matchups for the British Open

Steve Lowery rather than Shane Lowry. I let them know and was hoping for a little bonus, but nothing came of it

I have told this story before that a few years ago Atlanta was playing Indy and I think the Greek had Atlanta as a 7.5 point favorite, rather than Indy.

I told them and got a free play out of that deal

By the way, if it's an error, they will void the bets anyways, so better to be truthful and point it out and maybe get rewarded for it.

Of the CM sponsors for error spotting 5dimes always gives you a vig free play (If you ask), so on a -110 line you will get it at +100. BJ will sometimes give a small free play.
Have done alot of error spotting for these two.

Most guys will just go ahead and hammer a bad number and then throw a fit when the wager is canceled, pretending they didn't know it all along. I always give the player a $25 free wager if they point out the mistake.

This might happen with a small wager but very rarely and only on games with limited action.
