What are your thoughts on trailing someone?

By trailing I mean following their plays. I have always made my own picks. But recently my buddy started getting picks and he has been on a bit of a run. I know streaks come and go so people can run hot or cold but he keeps telling me I'm passing up free winners. i don't know I jusy never saw the point, I figured if I don't know enough about a game I probablly shouldn't play it. Any thoughts?

By trailing you have nobody to blame but yourself if you start losing....

Yeah I think that sums up how I feel about it. Figure win or lose I would rather make the choice myself.

Id still consider throwing small wagers at his plays till he ran cold tho.

There are certain people I look to see who they are playing, but at the end of the day it is your money. If people tail others, just don't blame them if you lose, as no one forces you to.

Trailing? Never really understood it.

Maybe for a couple bucks but the higher the wager the less one should Trail (or Tail).

Q. Can you pick your own winners over the long haul ? Most cant.

If so two options to consider:

Either upgrade your play when someone reputable is on the same side or if you flat bet perhaps only playing sides when you are in agreement with someone reputable.

If not you have 2 options:

1. Tail someone that can from start to finish (season)
2. Don't bet

You might be an exception to that rule cuz you put a write-up to your picks. I look for info and in the end make my own decision.

If you have to "trail" (or "tail") someone, you are in the wrong business. It is time to get out.
