What's cooking?

I'm surprised no one has started a Holiday food thread as most guys in here like fine foods and take pride in their cooking. Fire away what you've done so far and I might take on one your recipe or idea.

Here's what I've done so far:

-2 French Canadian Tourtieres (w/pork, beef, and veal). The French secret is to add mashed potatoes in the meat mixture before it's put in the pie.

-Beef Hungarian Goulash.

-Polish Potato Latkes.

-12 Bran Muffins (with extra nutmeg)

-Homemade Cranberry Sauce. Damn this is good. All it is is 12oz fresh cranberries, 1 cup orange juice and 1 cup white sugar. You'll never eat cranberry sauce from a can again.

Tomorrow: Ham.

1rst week of January: Turkey. (I'm going to a couple parties so I'll wait to cook mine).

Will do a Turkey Fricassee and a Turkey Soup w/rice/onion/celery/carrots with the leftovers. Yum. Can't wait.

Anyone ever have a Turducken? They have them frozen from Louisiana for $67 at one of the grocery stores here, but I didn't bite this year...

1. how is that any different from an australian meat pie?

2. always wondered why it is referred to as hungarian goulash..to me it seems to be the same as the goulash in czech republic and in poland

Does the chicken go in the duck's ass, or the other way around?
