When did all the

Helmets start coming off? I remember when it was rare, it seems very frequent now.

It's cool to lose your helmet, didn't you know that already!?! Everyone looks at you. I played hockey back in the day, and man, did I ever think I was something when that helmet went flying off because I knew everyone was starring at me. I always ran my hand through my hair to be sure it wasn't slicked sideways like a nerd or something, so I'd get the Chase Utley slick going.

And they wonder why concussions are up & the effects player have later in their life. The impact of the hits are incredible and I think they really need to start using the new helmets being circulated. I hear they look different, feel different, but will help prevent concussions too.

Yeah you are right about that, players take their brain for granted. I know I did when I played hockey, I learned the hard way after several concussions in high School, you don't realize at the time how it effects you, but looking back now I can certainly see how much it affected everything. To this day I can't whip my head sideways in a fast motion, I have a hard time talking fast, everyone comments on how slow I speak... I suffered from depression, which I know was directly from my brain injury, it was so bad in high school I literally couldn't focus to read, I remember going home one day because of it.
