When's a good time to have kids?

I have a feeling you guys are going to say never lol. But I'm turning 34 in 2 weeks and have been married for 2 yrs. We're thinking it's time. I don't want to be an old dad.

When you have your finances in check. I see to many people have kids and can`t even afford to take care of themselves. 34 is not old to have a kid.

Adopt a Russsian 22 year old... low maintenance, and you'll want to keep it maintained...

1. When you are financially able to have kids because they are quite an expense.

2. When you realize your life now changes dramatically and your wife now becomes more of a mother than a wife and you can handle that huge change in your life.

3. Unfortunately the longer you wait the more chances of problems for the mother and the child. Once the mother is 35 they are classified as higher risk pregnancies and the more of a chance that birth defects could be an issue. When we had our second child my wife was 36 and they showed us a chart of the chances of birth defects as you get older and it was quite amazing to see how the odds change of having a healthy baby as the mothers age increases, now thankfully we were blessed to have two healthy children.

Good luck whenever you decide to have them, they are quite a blessing to have and to look into their eyes and know they love you just because you are Daddy cannot be beat.

If you decide against it, get a vasectomy and avoid all the hassle.

I hear you guys about being able to afford kids but can anyone really afford them? What I mean is there's always something you want to buy. We just bought a new house, need to landscape the yard, wife wants a new car soon, etc. If you wait until you're debt free and have everything you want, you'll never have kids. People seem to find a way to make it work.
