Who has it correct?

Something I've never understood

In the US when someone says they care very little about something, they will say "I could care less"

While in other parts of the world including where I am in the same situation the person says "I couldn't care less"

To me #2 is correct

Amen.

And, yes, Dave, #2 is correct. Not sure why so many people say it wrong.

I like when people say (or write) "for all intensive purposes"...
Hahaha!! Cracks me up. I've stopped correcting them because I'm sure they've said it that way their whole life, and I don't get paid to teach.

And if I say something to someone and they tell me that they could care less, I thank them for caring more than they could

I couldn't care less= I could care more.

2 totally opposite statements to me so by what you are asking, Id say #1 is correct...
