Its amazing how one can change their Brand Image. Lebron really takes the cake right now in the NBA. It used to be Kobe...

Isn't it funny though

Tiger Woods - cheated on his wife
Barry Bonds - cheated in baseball
Terrell Owens - quit on several teams and trouble follows him whereever he goes
Roger Goodell - blamed for lockout by many
Michael Vick - killed dogs
Plaxico Burress - thugs arrested on weapons charge
Ron Artest - just crazy - the brawl but so entertaining
Ben Rothlisberger - accused of rape
Alex Rodriguez - probably most similar to Lebron & also admitted steroid use
Jay Cutler - just annoys people

And Lebron left Cleveland and announced it in a dumb way. Just interesting and agree with JDSilk - how fast it can change, wow. And even a large sample would have similar results

Michael Vick helped his image by winning.

Just win baby - you can kill but just win and we love you

"Hated" is a big word. "Disliked" seems more fitting

Now if one can add "Most arrogant" it could clear things up even more.

Don't think it has much to do with winning at all, eventually news becomes old (Kobe, Vick, Tiger, etc.). They did bad things, but the news media and by extention the public become bored with it and find other things to focus attention on. One can't keep dwelling on the same things indefinitely. The world never stops spinning, new stuff keeps happening.

It's not that those people are less hated, they are out of sight and out of mind, replaced by LeBron for the moment. But lucky for him, the world will find someone else to hate soon and leave him alone.

LeBron is to me because he's the most self-absorbed non-championship winning athlete of all time. I disliked him when that whole announcement to Miami happened. Then I severely disliked him when he and the other 2 came out on stage claiming they will win "not 5, not 6, not 7" championships. But I started HATING him when he was photographed wearing his shades inside at some club thinking he was cool. What a loser. Not to mention he's got 3 or 4 kids out of wedlock.

also: Plaxico Burress is a disgrace to humanity but too irrelevant in the sports realm to be "the most hated"

Lebron did a lot more then just leave Cleveland in a bad way.

1. the media did not help him by naming him king James and trying to compare him to Jordan. Not James fault, but he could have said something along the lines of how the media should not compare him to a NBA legend because he is not one, just like be humble about it. IDK

2. Clevland fans feel he gave up in the playoffs when he played for them. I thought that as well at first, they were comming off a great season, pretty much undefeated at home. But after seeing him in game six this year, who knows maybe he did not.

3. His dumb ass coments in the press like "I play almost perfect every night but had one bad game" Thats just bad

4. He leaves Cleveland in a bad manor A tv show to announce where he is going was over the top.

5. Comes to Miami even worse with like a big party with Wade and Bosh like he just won the Finals

6. Says he is gonna win multiple championships with the heat

7. After he losses the finals he bashes the people by saying we have to go back to our lifes and problems.

All together the guy just is bad around the press. thats sums it all up. He just keeps digging a hole with the press. and you are right Dr. Jack there are worse.

With Vick he said sorry and the people believed it, so do I. He served time and came back into the NFL all positive.
