agree Joe Pa is a figurehead. Just a walking legend. He doesn't even really coach the team anymore and hasn't for awhile

just shows the pull. plus he's a GREAT bullshitter. the players do want to play for him. a buddy of mine is a highschool basketball coach(assistant f.b. coach). had a player a couple years ago where spurrier came in and kicked all the coaches out of the office. before he left the player was going to usc. he has done alot for usc's schedule they get alot of primetime games now.
