Who is now the most dominant athlete in sports?

Tiger has fallen off for the time being. Lance Armstrong seems to have stopped cheating. In my opinion over the last 10 years these 2 have been the 2 most dominant athletes in sports.

With their demise, who has taken the spot? I think the winner of Mayweather Pacquiao would take the crown, but I dont see that fight happening this year, so who is it? Nadal comes to mind with Federer struggling a bit lately. But unlike in past years, I cant think of a clear cut "most dominant athlete" right now, would do you think it is?

Lesnar came back from diverticulitis. Major surgery. A life-threatening condition. Nearly a year's layoff. Adept at being a heel, adversity may make him a hero.

Not that such things concern Lesnar: "I'm still the ornery SOB I've always been."

Carwin has been vanquished. Frank Mir and Randy Couture, too. Fedor Whatsizname couldn't even keep from losing at the minor-league level.

One world. One world heavyweight champion. One Brock Lesnar.

Lol... Lesnar was far from dominant in his last fight. He was getting his ass kicked, and got lucky when his opponent gassed. He's not even the most dominant in his own sport... I'd give that to GSP or A.Silva.

Dude can take a beating that's for sure. And a lot of sports is luck, but you can't take the victory away from him because of it. Maybe he was letting Carwin kick his ass like Rocky did against Mr. T. Stragedy

Can you think of anybody in the world that could beat Brock right now? Kinda makes him dominant doesn't it?

Mir already has. Velasquez will I think. I'll have a fair bit of money against Brock next fight. His stand up is atrocious.

And in my opinion, just because he won 4 UFC fights and lost 1, doesn't make him "dominant" quite yet. He is the "best" right now. The thread was asking for dominant, which to me means, not just winning, but winning everytime by a fair margin over a long period of time. Or being above and beyond everyone else. JMO.

is he, or is he not the best player in the NFL? very simply 'yes' or 'no' will suffice
