Question Who still smokes cigarettes?

I feel like I am one of the few left and my goal is to quit before I turn 40. It's the hardest addiction I have ever faced by far

So which one of you dummies still smokes as well?

I do but I stuff the paper with cannabis sativa and no other chemicals...cut back to about three of these a day though, not bad for a hardworking man with four kids

The thread should be re-titled to "How many ****ing idiots still pay to kill themselves and their loved ones each day"

Smokers are gross.

Smoked about a pack and a half a day since 87. Stopped in 02 (4th of July weekend) to see if I could. Success.

I actually enjoyed the withdrawal symptoms. It was like being high - time seemed to stand still at times, I was in a fog... it was awesome. If they weren't so nasty, I'd probably get addicted to them again so I could quit again. Great feeling!!

Now, I'm a little bitch about cigs. They disgust me. The smell is repugnant, I can't stand it - even standing next to someone in a store or something that has just smoked makes me sick. And I pretty much look down on people that smoke (I know I shouldn't, but I do... can't help it.)

Ya. I know I'm a dick about it, sorry. Just hated the fact that my parents smoked in the house and the stink was in my clothes. So when I was getting made fun of (from students and even some teachers), I never realized why until long after.

Just bugs me. Kids shouldn't have to pay for their parents' flaws. Or potentially die from it, either.

I only smoke in one room in my house and mostly outside but I do understand this, my kids get mad as heck at me.

My parents both smoked, grandparents, etc... Hmmm. I wonder why I smoke

Haven't smoked in 20 years but I have seen the destruction it causes and it saddens me to see anyone smoke anything.

Smokers never bothered me, but with the recent laws wich should protect non-smokers, smokers bother me in teh few areas that smoking is still allowed.

Ironically enough, PB, most of them are smokers now. I tried it when I was a kid (because I saw my parents doing it) and when I realized how gross it actually was, I couldn't understand why people did it.

To this day, I still can't. But I point out to them now how bad they smell when they come inside. They understand why.
