Who are you?

I am fairly new here and always wondering who I am talking to. Do you play professional sports? Where have you played sports? What do you do in life... job, wife, married, kids? If there is already a thread on this, could someone please direct me, or you can share it here for me so I can relate to you better.

As for me, I am 25 years old, engaged to be married next summer. My fiance and I have a 2 year old son together. I live in Canada and through my life have played hockey and baseball at competitive levels. I am definitely better at baseball, I actually played in Maine in the Legion League. My town is 15 minutes from the USA border, so I just went there to play at a higher lever then what they had here in Canada. I had a chance to play College ball in Bangor but turned the chance down to go to work. My brother, played for Team New Brunswick in the National Junior championships here in Canada, so he played against and with the best players Canada has to offer, a few future professional ball players, one guy he played with was drafted by the Brewers as a catcher. I played some high school & Junior hockey but no longer play because of my job and my son. I work at a factory which prints ink onto cigarette papers, I've been there since I left high school. I never went to University, but chose not to because I found a decent job that payed well. so, I saved myself a lot debt. I've also been betting on sports for a few years.

haha, what do you suggest I do then? Everyone says that same thing, am I making the right decision at such a young age? We have a kid together, I always wonder what would have happened if we did not have a kid together, I don't like to think this is the only reason we are getting married, or is it a good reason to be getting married? I have actually been contemplating this decision for awhile, maybe an older married man can help me out, or a divorcee can help me. Should I be contemplating this decision? We've been together for almost 5 years, we do love each other, but things have not been the same since we've had our boy. We have our days like most couples, and hardly argue, but the sex life is gone, I have a hard time getting out to spend time with the boys on the weekend, I hardly do that anymore. I'm just wondering if the grass is greener somewhere else, or is this how every relationship ends up? I do lover her, but it is a biiig decision to commit your life to 1 single person, I want to make the right decision for my long-term happiness, and good mental-health. I should mention that there is a conflict between our two families, our boys grand-parents, I will not get into details, but it makes it hard on the wedding! And another thing, a couple weeks ago I had a chance to go rafting at my good friends bachelor party, she gave me a hard time about it because it was to expensive. I told her I was going to withdraw it from my sports book account, she still proceeded to say we can't afford it. Then the following week, she took off for a week to go visit some family, got herself this expensive haircut, just spent a boat load on clothes!!! She spend double the amount on that then what I was going to spend at the trip! I am steaming at the moment, but I don't like to argue over money.

are you a person that believes in the state and in religion? if so, then go for it...but if you are not a fan of govt and religion, then why do it? just be a couple without the title that is bestowed upon you by those crap entities

I am not religious, and am not a fan of the government. I have discussed that idea with her before, but she has always dreamed of this special day, it is a tough spot for me because I do not want to go through the process. I wish we could just stay the way we are right now.

haha I've got the weed thing down, but it's hard with the boy here, I can't be out in space all day trying to raise a child, I do that on my own time.
