Who's the best country singer of all time?

My choice is Keith Whitley, such a shame he died so young, runner up Vern Gosdin {Known as the VOICE} if you were ever in a honky tonk or pool room you heard alot of Vern Gosdin.

of course on iTunes I don't have George Strait under Classis Country genre, but with the garbage that has come out in the last 15 years, I would consider him classic.

Listen to a lot of old classic country, George Jones, Waylon, Willie, Merle, Gary Stewart, Vern Gosdin, Ray Price, Johnny Cash and John Conlee. Hard to put George Strait in along with these guys, but hard not to now days also.

Gotta think if alot of your music has a steel guitar and you have been around long enough to have over 50 #1 songs you are classic.

If you want true classic I'll take Hank Williams (the original not Jr.)
