USD...i'm a torero! Finals are done and we have to wait a week until they have the ceremony. Go figure, I guess they wanted to let all the seniors have a week of partying to celebrate

Nice work on the MBA...is it a lot more work than the regular major coursework in college? I'm lookin forward to it, but I'm gonna take a much needed rest during fall semester/football season

Well first things first.. Take a break.

Have u taken your GMATs? Also dont waste your time on Kaplan courses if they have that in Cali. I know a lot of people who said it was a waste of $$.

Lots of class projects/group activities. Hope u can get some hot chicks in your group.

I took most of my courses online though. Much better option when I started my MBA. Hate commuting to campus.

Overall, way easier than Electrical Engineering. Some of the courses are a joke. I took an online entrepenurship class where the professor just talked all the time and we just had to submit/present a final project.

I think its worth it. I am now in my serious mode to get a job again.

Yea, I'm taking the GMAT this summer and applying to schools. What did you think of it? Any tips? I got the book and it almost seems like it's pretty straightforward stuff, like general knowledge.

I heard the MBA is a lot of group stuff. If you don't mind me asking, did you have a business type job while getting your MBA or did you just concentrate on school? Trying to decide between internship, job or just concentrating on the mba

I went more on the lines of a Technical MBA.

I did my undergrad from there in Elec Engineering. So that choice was pretty obvious.

I worked 4 years in the private industry as a Govt Contractor ( consultant) for EDS.
Then worked 2.5 years as a FCC employee.

I was in radio frequency management.

Liked the private side WAY WAY better.

Anyways.
I studied for a couple of months intensively. I took some old GMAT books from friends and concentrated on key ideas. If u have a business background or an accounting one, then u should be good to go.

2 old books, but I am sure it is newly updates that I used was.

"Cracking the GMAT" by the Princeton Review. Also "The Official Guide for GMAT Review"

MAKE SURE YOU DO THE PRACTICE TESTS.
ALSO IN THE EXAM, U ARE ONLY ALLOWED TWO SHORT BREAKS. SO MAKE SURE YOU TIME YOURSELF.
