Why do we watch sports?

Is it to relive childhood memories, feel like we are part of something, or have something to believe in while escaping from our normal everyday existance?

Cause the shit is huge all around the globe

To see people do stuff that looks like we should be able to do it, but we're not good enough to do it, so we watch them do it, pay them millions of dollars for it, and yell at them for sucking when they do something that costs you a hundred bucks.

Whenever we watch there is a chance we will witness history or a record being broken. There is always the possibility that all time greatness can take place before our very eyes.

We live through the players we watch. We have our favorite players and there are teams we've grown up rooting for because our brother or dad used to love them and now we still root for them today. Or we may follow a sport now that we used to play as a child.

Competition is always exciting. More fun if your involved, but from an entertainment perspecive, would you rather watch the same old sitcom, or competition between a group of elite athletes. More often than not i choose sports.

The first thing that comes to mind is the High School or College years when we were part of a sports team...but then most of us go on and follow our academic formation for income...thinking all along and never letting go of our athletic side???
