Sorry to hear Sharp and Natty, hoping for the best for you guys, but I can't say I'm surprised. Good luck in your collections from this deadbeat. And guys want him back? that's fucking weird. Not contacting the guys to "try" and make good says more to me than anything, zero honor, character.

Paulsam said it best, no room for deadbeats in any gambling scenario, worst ever. Stay away from, and keep them away. Always.

Wow, how the tides turn.

I owed him $300 back in 2015 for a side-contest we did through e-mail. I didn't pay him for a couple months but I kept in contact with him the entire time and the reason I wasn't paying was because I was really tight on money at the time (had just graduated from College) AND because it was clear that he was going to owe me $150 from side-bets from the MLB Wins Contest (and I was to get another $300 from other people who were at the bottom and I was at the top). So, I asked if he could wait another few weeks until the season ended, for those side-bets to be cleared up, and he refused and got really upset at me. So, I messaged Jack, explained what was happening and at the time hotpicks owed him money, so he agreed to square that up with him and transfer the debt over to my name - knowing that I would pay him back once the season ended and the side-bets were settled. Hotpicks HATED this idea (even though it meant I was technically paying him).

I got a bunch of shitty e-mails from hots, in response, but this was some of what he said to me:

"Just forget it man, this has gone on way to long, it's a lost cause. I'll get with him and pay him."

"Dude, you have owed me $300 for over 2 months, been patient you said you promise etc. Just scratch it, it isn't worth it, just don't bet somebody money you don't have, it's especially annoying when you post picks and are gambling when you owe somebody money man. You could have squared up by now is you have money to bet with.

Like I said, just forget it, I'm over it. I'll take care of what I owe him. "

I refused that as an option and Dr. Jack was nice enough to clear my debt with hotpicks and I paid Jack back three weeks later once the side-bets were settled.

I knew I fucked up, betting with money I really couldn't afford to lose at the time - but I kept in contact and went far and beyond to try and make arrangements to clear up the debt. I had jack clear his debts and transfer them to me, but it really seemed like this didn't satisfy him at all as he wanted the cash from me (which I now assume wasn't going to go to Jack - at least not immediately).

I feel for the guy as he clearly has an addiction to gambling - but you've gotta practice what you preach.

With that said, he narrowly beat me to finish 4th in Baseball fantasy this year ... so that is $100 (he won) that he'll have to pay someone. He is also in a tight fight to make it to the finals which would earn him another $150 or $300 (depending on if he finished 1st or 2nd) so there is potential that there will be up to $400 on the table that will go to Natty/Sharp. Not much, in the grand scheme of things, but something.

Like Shark said. He's an actual gambling addict. Guy needs counseling/rehab. Specifically Sucks what happened to Sharp and Natty - sadly it's pretty much the nature of that business. Usually that'll be when a person or their family get in trouble one way or another, and said person will have hopefully learned a lesson. But that can't happen in this instance, so I'm sure he will do it to multiple other people at other sites, since I guess he has nothing to lose.

Very surprised, because like others have said, he was basically in every paid contest and ragged on people who he thought were air betting. Also the rage he had in the in-games were classic and hilarious.

I reached out to him a few times in the last week with no response, which is fine. The most bizarre thing to me in all of this is why he bothers to continue grading the cappersmall sports book.

Just a guess, but maybe he is working off some of debt owed to Jack that Shark noted by maintaining scoring duties idk. Maybe that's how he entered the contests, scoring duties for entries, again idk. Sad situation all around.

He is not scoring the book anymore. Jack removed his ability to do that as of last weekend and before this thread came out. I will score Tues-Sat and pimp will score Sun-Mon for now. Like I said earlier, Jack was really hoping for some resolution to this and he didn't want to cut ties, but it became clear that no effort was being made.

I'm sure he still checks on here and sees this thread. If anything said in here was wrong he would have replied because he was the type that was quick to defend himself.

Everyone has bet with money they didn't have, has either stiffed or slow paid before. I've slow paid plenty of times, but eventually do pay it all off.

Peer to peer wagering never ends well. I've seen it so many times on other forums. Just post up with a book or find your own locals. It always ends bad

The most I've ever handed my local is $500. I won't go above it.

Couldn't imagine owing someone 3-4g's. Prolly fucking cry. Lol

most people have had zero problem dealing with members directly, dont deflect his issue

hes ruining it for everyone else

not everyone has stiffed in the past, most have slow paid though

I do want to see him back, but what I mean is make arrangements for a payment plan and or pay it off

then come back, and still expect people to call him out etc

thats what I mean by I hope he comes back
