Why is my computer so slow?
Have an anti-virus program and I don't download anything. I did a disk cleanup and all of a sudden it seriously takes like 2 minutes for some websites to fully load.

Will save some of you the time and make the too much porn joke real quick.

Seriously though, anything I can do real quick to get back to full speed again?

Did you try System Restore to the previous day it started going slow? If yes and still slow, then it leads me to believe it's your provider. Sometimes i call them and just like my cable TV they give me a "boost"

I did a disk cleanup a couple of computers ago and it screwed everything up... I had to do a System Restore but there were still lingering problems afterwards...

I don't do disk cleanup anymore on my new comps and all is good.

That's right. Fee or Free there's a heavy price to pay afterwards.

I haven't used virus protection or system privacy/security in nearly 3 years except for the basic operating system Windows comes with. I haven't had any problems whatsoever since.

McAfee, Norton, etc keeps making an unbelievable amount of cash by causing fear. Actually, I've nearly caught them creating viruses and selling their own package afterwards.

Used to have problems ONLY when I bought their package.

I still think most viruses are created and unleashed by all these geeks.
