Why So Many Bad Beats Happen On Line Poker

WHY SO MANY BAD BEATS HAPPEN ON LINE POKER
By Kramer :

We’ve all had our share of on line poker bad beats , and they seem to happen more often
IN ON LINE GAMES
than when we play in home cash games or at the casinos.

This article will attempt to explain why it happens more often :

FIRST :
Although You’re playing with real money , THE MONEY ISN’T REAL.
Let me explain .
Although you’ve gone through the steps to take real money and deposit it into an online poker account , once its deposited through whatever method you’re just sitting in front of
a computer playing the game.
So is every other player .
There are no real chips to pick up and
bet each time you call or raise , simply the click of a button.
It’s a lot easier to click a button than to pick up real chips in front of real people .

SECOND :
The game is much faster : You’re playing hundreds of hands per hour compared to what you’d play at a home or casino game.
Therefore the odds of bad beats increase.
You only have so much time to check ., call or fold .

THIRD :
No one is watching you play on your computer :
If you play at home games or in a casino chances are you’d fold your blind of
5,10 off suit.
On line 50% or more of players think What The heck , its my blind ,
its my money I’ll call the $ 5 raise .
Same as small blinds.
They don’t fold just call since they’re in already .

FOURTH :

With the internet connecting everybody , there are too many small fish (bad players)
being in too many hands they shouldn’t be in compared to the big fish (good players).
With so much poker played on tv , every bad player thinks they can be a good player
when they really shouldn’t be playing the game .They’re playing too many hands
they shouldn’t be playing at all.

FIFTH :

Poor money management :

Too many poker players who are new go into a $ 5 , $ 10 game with $ 300 in their account.
Fifty times the big bet is a common downswing, even for professional players, and nothing to become too concerned about if you are still playing well. However, if you start with only 100 times the big bet, and you are down 50 big bets, you have lost 50% of your bankroll. If you had started with 300 big bets and were down 50, you will have only lost roughly 17% of your bankroll.
Poker isn’t just about card and playing players or the odds ,
its also about managing YOUR MONEY .
If you’re in a $ 5,$10 game with $ 300 ,
you should drop down to a $1,$3 game where you’re in a better position
to control your money and build it up .

Is your poker money simply spending money for fun , or an investment you want to protect and make grow like other investments ?.

its not rigged. pokerstars runs 5,000 hands a hand. over the course of 5,000 hands lets say every 1-2 minutes, ur gonna see some sick shit. now times that by the length of a tournament that takes you 5 hours to cash.....

all you need to understand is this, and you all will stop bitching and crying about bad beats. i just had A-A in the BB twice in the past 2 big tournies i played in and lost to a 4-5 and a 9-10. shit happens

STOP PLAYING POKER ONLINE TO MAKE MONEY, PLAY IT FOR FUN AND YOU WILL WIN MORE. ONLY PEOPLE WITH MASSIVE BANKROLLS THAT CAN PLAY 5-10NL ON 3-4 TABLES WILL MAKE MONEY.

i learned my lesson years ago with online poker. some people just dont get it. when you actually do win some money, cash it the **** out right away or about 80% of it.

i play online for 5-6 hours a day. you know what i play, $4 180 people sit and gos. $1 45 people sit and gos. $10/$20 sit and gos, sometimes .50-1. you know why? im not trying to win money online, im just playing to kill time, and see hands, for practice. because when i play live i play 2-5nl, sometimes 5-10nl. and $200 and up live tourneys. so i need to see as much cheap hands as i can.

THIS IS HOW I WIN MONEY PLAYING POKER.

It was a joke

Bad beats happen, ive given plenty of them as well.

I play online for fun reason why I play 8-12 tables or 3-4 on the higher blinds. Gets frustrating losing, but the money I really dont care about

I understand that there are way more hands played in an online session than there are in a live session at the casino. The % of bad beats just don't add up plain and simple. In fact the % of lossing some of the hands that I've lost in a row is so small it makes you think.
