Will Jim Rice make the hall of fame now that

this steroid era has been uncovered?

Will it help the guys like Rice? I for one do not think Rice is a hall of famer but I do think he gets in now because of it.

Any thoughts?

cman - I think there will be a lot of people who have been on the fence and have voted no in the past will change their mind because they are frustrated with today's athlete. At the end of the day - I think steroids controversy actually helps Rice and gets him in

Oh I think he should get in...not arguing that..I just think he should be judged as to whether he met HOF standards for the era he was in....because he clearly does not meet them in this era....and for whatever reason the reporters that could have voted him in did not....

From what I have read, What has hurt Rice alot was his poor relationship with the press. If you think someone deserves to get in, that shouldn't enter into it, but I think it does alot with some of these players.

alot of those guys are retired now, but they all stick together so some of the newer guys will hear this and not vote him in

as a biased redsox fan I say he is in. he was dominant for many years and put up some sick numbers, but I dont think it will happen IMO

I think the city of Chicago would love to see him get in, but outside of here I never hear his name brought up. maybe after he dies?

I'm just unsure who is keeping him out as Joe Morgan claims everyone wants him in. His baseball numbers are right on the borderline of a HOFer, but he is 100% class. He genuinely loves baseball, and wants nothing more than to be in the Hall of Fame. I will admit though that I wasn't pulling for him as hard until he lost both his legs bc of diabetes, really sad story.
