Will Tiger Woods break Jack Nicholas record?

There was a time where this was inevitable. Now it seems most experts don't believe there is anyway.

Vote or discuss!

ATM it doesn't look like it. I'm willing to give him 1 more chance next season to find his game once again, but I'm strongly leaning no.

I do believe that Tiger will break the record that Jack Nicholas holds. He is 35 now and I know he has been through hell and back, but when he gets healthy again and plays some what the way he use to play, then yes, he will break the record.

I agree. I still think he will do it. The big question is whether he will be able to stay healthy. I saw something about how fundamentally his swing puts so much strain on his knee. So if he gets injured again...shortly after this break where he will wait until he is 100%, then I think he will be done. This will be an indicator that he can't stay healthy and that his recent health issues isn't just a matter of coming back too soon.

I think he will as well. There is no one dominating at all in golf right now. The past 11 majors have all had different winners. I think he finds his game and he basically has 40 more majors until he is in his mid 40's. He can win 5 of those.

I do not think he will. The "Mo-Jo" is gone and their are many quality golfers out there today.

I bet if you looked at this topic just one year ago, it was 75/25, that Tiger would be back and break the record.

A lot changes in a year

I don't think there's much chance of it now. As a matter of fact, I'd be surprised if Woods won as many as two more.

He's injured a lot, and I don't believe you can win Majors unless you are playing competitive golf year-round unless you are head and shoulders better than everyone else. He was that once, but not anymore. He no longer can pick and choose events and other golfers have finally caught up with him.

But for 10 years or so, he was as good as it got.

Several years ago, jack Nicholas said a bad back or a bad marriage were the only things that could keep tiger from his record. kind of prohetic.

Winning five more majors is difficult enough when you're healthy and on top of your game. With health issues (physical and mental/emotional) prevalent, I don't think Tiger has it in him. Not anymore.

He's not getting any younger.
