0-60 in 4 sec....pretty impressive

Does anyone know the cost? I didn't see anything on the website. Also, what is the cost to run one of these? If you're charging it every night, won't this increase your electric bill dramatically?

dhunter all your questions are on the site

it costs 1 cent a mile in electricity, do the math

its just starting production and the offer was one of 100 first run cars at 100k, this is their performance car obviously

this catches on they will be able to produce more, more models, and at a lower cost.

I believe you but dont see how that could be mass produced at a low cost nor perform like an electric motor

Tomorrow I'll try to figure out how to post a link to the local news video. You are not going to believe the simplicity of it.

Wow, that's cheap! I drove 19,000 miles last year, so $190/year. Man, I spend that much on gas after 3 fill ups.

Won't the oil companies do everything in their power to block this type of technology?

I believe that these future alternatives are the main reason for the oil price increases. They got to get it before tchnology pre-empt one of their biggest markets.

That's why it will be priced out of consumer range, or never materialize at all.
Its a great idea; I doubt it will work.
Exxon could just buy them out and halt production. Anybody would sell out for a few billion.

Agreed 100%... and it's also one of the biggest reasons I have been AGAINST most of the military action the US has persued in the middle east.... instead of spending billions of dollars on war, why not spend it on research and developement on alternative energy sources? Speed up the process, and eliminate the usefulness of the one economic resource the middle eastern countries can hold over our heads. Then we could give them what they want: leave them alone to rot and die in their useless desert.
