im just bitter because i have boise state futures and now i need auburn and oregon to lose for them to get a shot.

sucks for a team not to lose in 2 years to not get a title shot. outside of stanford. oregon has played cupcake teams. their schedule IMO is worse than boise st.

and even if auburn and oregon lose. im not so sure that TCU/Boise State BCS championships will go through.

oh yah. didnt boise state beat TCU and oregon last year??? and no one tell me that history doesnt play a part.

HISTORY IS THE REASON THE SEC GETS SO MUCH LOVE IN THE BCS STANDINGS.

I am sure the fact that boise played a joke of a schedule got factored into your future price so no need to be bitter if they don't get in.

yea I agree. The future price wasn't just will Boise go undefeated? It also was factoring in will a 1 loss sec team or even big 10 or big12 get in over boise and those right now are not even your biggest worries..

good luck though.. Auburn could still lose to georgia/bama etc and oregon still plays beavers and cal might shock them..

oh i agree but i didnt believe that boise would be jumped by oregon and TCU to be honest. i could understand ohio st and bama at the start of the year. but boise st has done nothing wrong to be dropped like that.

Fact of the matter is if Boise played in the SEC or Big 10 they would have 2-3 losses... When you have to get up for 1-2 gms the entire yr, its not a problem.. If Boise had to lay it on the line each and every week and deal with injuires, etc from battles against tough teams, they would not be undeafeated..

Dont get me wrong, I love Boise and think they are very exciting, but the schedule plays a huge part.. They need to get out of that conference to be conisdered a "big boy".

And yes, Boise could play with any team in the country and compete, no doubt. But they could not do that weak in and weak out. That is the big difference

It's "week" when referring to a period of time, not "weak" (like my hockey picks are usually). Also, doesn't Boise try to play against the big teams, but those girls are all too scared to play on a blue field?

Boise's #1 problem is just that: the blue field. Aside from that, I don't see how they couldn't beat any team in the country. Rankings aside, they're the true #1. I would love to see them in the National Championship game. Believe me, I'm not biased towards them either.

I'm an Irish fan, so...ya lol

If they really wanted to schedule better opponents they would change conferences.

A lot of teams could beat any team in the country on a given day, but like ryhenry said its the week to week.

Does that really matter, though? The Irish are independents and they play Michigan, Michigan State and USC every year (and all 3 of those at anytime could be ranked) not to mention their other games, yet they have been ranked and could possibly play for a BCS Title if they didn't suck. Boise is way better than they are.

Why does the conference matter? I'm seriously asking you guys, because a lot of this is unknown to me. What does the conference that a school is in matter when it comes to picking a title game matchup?

Boise cant change conferences, Mountain West is about as big as it will get for them

they dont meet academic requirements for any bigger of a conference

they dont even offer Phd Programs, basically a community college which makes their rise so unbelievable too
