It's more shocking if a wrestler lives past 50.

As we know certain other sports are known for juicing. But wrestlers have prob the worst life expectancy, could be for a few reasons but I reackon a main reason is their roids frequency of use and duration of use is higher than the other sports.

This is definitely a common story. Young wrestler found in hotel room or apartment. It's almost always some kind of overdose. I don't think anyone's denying these guys use steroids but to blame all this on steroids is crazy. I would think a lot more has to do with the lifestyle. They travel constantly, never have anywhere to really call home, probably have minimal relationships in their lives, they're young and are probably on a lot more pain killers than steroids. None of the organizations really seem to care about the athletes so who knows if they'll start trying to work with these guys to prevent the next story.

it's not the roids so much as the painkillers

wrestling might be "fake" but some of these guys are jumping off ladders and shit and taking some pretty serious bumps then they gotta fly somewhere the same night and do it all again in less than 24 hours

add the fact that they drink (why wouldn't they?) and what not and it's always a lethal combo.

sports have seasons and off-seasons for guys to re-cooperate but there is none of that in wrestling. they need to lighten the workload or else it's just gonna keep happening.

and to people who think they don't need painkillers because it's fake i would just LOL @ you

Point taken re the pain killers. I don't follow wrestling so didn't know. Cocktails of drugs are always dangerous.
