You can't make this stuff up!

I'm in Vegas staying at the Red Rock. Last night I'm in the sportsbook looking at some futures and MLB lines. A guy walks up to the counter to cash a ticket. He hands the ticket to the clerk who pays him $150. The guy says, "I bet $100 and won, why am I not getting $200 back". The clerk says "you took the Yankees ML -200, so it was $100 to win $50, so you collect $150". The guy throws a fit and says the sportsbook is screwing him. A supervisor comes over and explains the same thing as the clerk. The guy still doesn't understand. 30 minutes later, the guy just leaves screaming "this sportsbook cheats its players".

During this whole deal, we're laughing our asses off........good times on the first night.

I was in Ceasars once about 10 years ago and watch a guy get pissed because he bet on the winning team, but they were laying 7 and only won by 4. Had no idea that there was a spread, just thought all they had to do was win.

How is the Sportsbook there? Never got a chance to try it. I like the Mirage the best out of what I visited. Flamingo where I stayed was terrible.

would have been a good laugh to be out there for the world cup and see the dudes getting all pissed off because they bet on a team and the game ended in a draw thinking it was a push and they had the ml option

Great sportsbook here. Big looking cocktail waitresses around. Since its an off-strip property, its more of a locals joint, but still plenty of action and decent lines. After many years of staying at the MGM, a host talked me into staying here 3 years ago and I haven't looked back since.
