Are you concerned that sportsbooks have all your personal details?

Its fraud awareness week here in NZ......I mean the sportsbooks have everything needed for fraud. Does this concern you at all?

Only use that bank acc. for poker rooms and sports books and top sites only through instadebit. keep minimal $$ in there and transfer to and from as needed from other acc.`s

What does a sportsbook have that any other retail or other places you have used your credit card with?

Not sure I understand what exactly they can do with this info. They take it as more of a precautionary measure to the customer and to protect against credit card fraud against them which I am guessing happens a lot more

Dont think he meant CC info so much as personal info, ie: social ins.# in canada and social security in the U.S.
Addresses to go with these plus maybe some banking info and the wrong people could theoretically start another Identity under your name and then rack up some CC debt that would/could ruin your credit rating for one Im thinking.

What books have your social security number?

I've sent Drivers License and Credit Card info, but never my social security number.

No I'm not concerned at all. If someone uses my CC number for fraud purposes bank would refund amount + any interest charges upon proof. If they use my DL number and clone me for more identification I always leave a paper trail anyways to clear myself should that happen. Same with household contents--I leave my home knowing in the back of my mind that I'm insured for almost everything.

Everyone's personal info is out there to be stolen in all kinds of places by all kinds of organizations...

How many times have i heard in the news that another database has been hacked into containin hundreds of thousands of people's info... then the apologies and warnings go out...

they can activate yer cell phone without u even knowin about it and listen in on what yer sayin in yer own home...

they can hack into yer comp and activate its webcam and watch you...

they are everywhere lookin at everything lol...
