Your Best ever win in Gambling?

ok we heard the bad beat stories, now tell us your most miraculous win. Mine was last year in the NBA, I had the Knicks +5.5 against the Nets at home. They were down double digits the whole game, may have even been down by 15 with about 4 or 5 minutes left. They chipped away the lead to 8 with 30 sec left, New Jersey had the ball. Vince Carter then proceeds to dribble to almost the half court line, and shoot an airball, resulting in a shot clock violation. Knicks inbound the ball from half court, and newly acquired Steve Francis drains a 35 footer at the buzzer, and I win by a half point.

Don't think that game will ever be topped.

Once I read this I knew exactly what game you meant.

I was on the Nets and that was one of my worst and sickest beats ever.

not this year but the past year I had st. louis pretty large in baseball.. they were down 5 runs in the bottom of the 9th with two outs.. and scored 6 runs.. to win by 1.... it was absolutely insane..

Put $100 into Gameday, lost at blackjack but noticed an unusually long streaky pattern, put another $50 in to test it, which I turned into $850, then bet it on the props for the Patriots vs Panthers Superbowl.

Gameday allowed props to be parlayed (which they didn't the next year), so I put Patriots to win the coin toss, patriots to get first first down, patriots to get first completion, 4th down conversion and some other one to pay out $13G. Kept hitting them hard on the blackjack too and ended up on the big winners list for both the sportsbook and the casino.

I gave some back of course, I should've known when their gambling site was "upgrading" for a day that they were putting a stop to my tricks. Now whenever you change your bet on a streak you just lose automatically. I've never seen anything more ridiculous.

Hit the Patriots early in the season when they won the Superbowl XXXVI beating the Rams (2002). Spread it around a few bookies as with the odds being around 120-1 a single book alone would not accept the stake I wanted.

With the Pats huge dogs on Superbowl gameday around 14.5 hedging was not really much of an option, so I let it ride but did hedge some in live betting when the Pats had a handy lead.

I was on edge bigtime watching, hedging a little calmed me down abit. Funny thing was when they won I hardly danced around the room or anything it was a good feeling though. I still have the whole game footage as well as some printouts. I'll never forget Troy Brown saying "There a probably some bookies who aren't happy with us right now" and Ty Law "We shocked the world".

The Pats will always have a special place in my heart!!

BTW I don't remmember those quotes for what they said, but more because BOTH those players were HUGE for the Pats in that Superbowl and the season in general.

My 10* ML play on the Texas Longhorns in the National Championship game made the win that much more enjoyable.

That was a personal favorite of mine too.. that juicy +175 ML was clutch.

Every single one of my friends were on USC... i really wish i woulda held bets that day. It was definitely the best College Football game i ever watched.. I enjoyed it a lot more than the Ohio State - Miami title game.

last basketball season had the heat +4.5
against the pistons
and they were down 6.
The heat missed the 3 but, Shaq tipped it in with
seconds remaining.

My favorite was in college basketball a few seasons ago, I had BYU -12 vs. San Diego State

The game ended up going into OT and BYU outscored them by 13 in OT

Still love that one

oh I also remember two college seasons ago for basketball.. I had a team +13.5 for some good money.. I can't remember which team it was but they were down 16 with 3 seconds left... I thought they were going to just dribble out the ball but the player took three steps and shot it from his arch and swooshed it.. lol.. and they lost by 3.. I ran around my tv room for about 20 minutes..

With apologies to the red sox nation, the buckner error got me even as i had lost a bundle (and in those days it was a bundle) on Boston College earlier in the day. Got even with the Mets and think of it everytime the Buckner error comes up.
