Your kids and gambling!

If you have kids – do you want them gambling or actually would you be upset if they were gambling?

If you not have kids you probably can not relate to the question but feel free to answer as well

My parents tried to get me to stop when I was betting baseball and football while I was still in high school. I don't know if I want them to do it. It consumes a lot of your life and it sometimes makes you not very pleasant to be around. Thats why I'm trying to cut back big time

Absolutely, defintely, without question.......NO. I have reasonable income and can afford to "entertain" myself with wagering. Some years I profit, some I don't. But the reality is, too be effective you have to spend too much time researching etc., watching the games, when you could be doing more with your family. Also, many families are ruined as a result of gambling. I won't want my kids to risk their families as a result of gambling.

Sure......we can all say, each of us here make a fortune gambling, spend every second we can with our family and in no way have an addiction. Our we could be truthful.

I agree with the above post. I have two children. My son I had when I was rather young and he is reaching the age that I was when I first started gambling. Lets face it, for those of us who took up real gambling in our teens, you just dont know what your doing and it can get out of control. Yes, I knew sports. Yes I could read line. Yes I even had some good insrticts, but I couldnt control the money/excitment/danger aspect.

As said above, gamlbing correctly takes lots of time and effort. It can be fun a profitable. However, I would prefer my son to enjoy other aspects of his teenage years (like 16 year old girls, and throwing up off cases of Bud light, and pot....j/k). When he reaches 18 if he wants to gamble, I would vetainly advise him on how to try to do it wisely.

Then Id get him a Cappersmall account to learn some skills, and tell him to stay out of the basement

Definetely not... It consumes soo much time. Sometimes to much and puts strains on relationships. I would prefer my kids NOT to gamble.
