Charger fans and haters season thread
It's gameday boys and a new season...thought I'd get us started off with this little pregame nugget. Enjoy
Rivers’ Chargers have never not won the AFC West. His 46-18 career record is the third-best start to a career, trailing Kenny Stabler (51-12-1) and Tom Brady (49-15). And arguably no quarterback in history has had a better statistical start to a career. Rivers’ 96.3 passer rating is highest in history after 64 starts. His 63.2 completion percentage through those 64 starts is third behind Kurt Warner and Joe Montana. He has thrown 105 touchdowns to 44 interceptions, a ratio that only Dan Marino (157-72) came close to matching in his first 64 starts.

it comes down to january jack...they will be there again most likely barring an injury to 17. but they will have to execute better, get some luck and not pull what the padres are right now

Not huge on the Chargers chances to having a great season. I think they may start off slow with all the changes this year. I dont think they'll be one of the premier regular season teams this year like they have been in years past.
But with that said, they still win their division (maybe at 9-7) and then its anyones game once the playoffs start. This team needs to just get to the playoffs and they'll have as good a chance as any from there.
