The Great Peavy

I don't know what this guy was like in a small ass market, but here he has become a Laughable asshole. Drama Queen, Prima Donna wannabe, but is failing miserably.

There was a report on the radio this A M, stating his opponents are hitting ..480 after 75 pitches. Ozzie dislikes the guy so much he sends him out to work after the 75 pitch count, w/o anyone warming up. Last night was a perfect example. I also think Ozzie does this to rub KW's nose in his shit pickups, Peavy, Dunn and Rios

Can't say I am not enjoying this drama. Fact is, the division is so weak, the W Sox may win it anyway

When he was on his game, 40 Hrs per year, Sept was his worst month, especially in recent years. And 13 was about his average for August and September. I would have to take the odds.

Reported this past week that this out of shape slugger, likes the night life here in Chicago. The fact that he puts his bats away after the season and doesn't look at them again until spring training, doesn't bode well for him now that he is past 30 yrs old

If you weren't so dumb, you would know Cub fans are delighted. Frees up cash for the Fielder sweepstakes.

It's a good thing you don't handicap horse races. I know you don't because if you did, and actually bet hard dollars, you would go broke.

Not all true

He gave up 5 HR's

Once his agent found out he was giving up $23M, Z returned to the lockerroom, put his equipment back, and said he wasn't going to retire, was just an emotional thing. Cubs responded with a 30 day GFYS w/o pay ($ 3M+), but now I hear the players union may force the Cubs to remove the tag..we will see, but most, including some players, have had enough.

lmao

Adios Z

Thank You chibob. Your the second person to agree with me. Peavy was a Small Market Prima Doinna who pitched in a "pitchers park". Once he came to a hitters park, he has sukked. He can't handle the media. He has been an average pitcher who is nearly always hurt. He always has an excuse for his bad outings. Good old 4 run, 5 inning Peavy. He is playing for the name on the back of his shirt, not the name on the front!!!!

Ozzie looks like he will be one, don't you think? And hard nose KW, may be replaced..Kahn, doubt if he gets a shot as Cub GM. J R wouldn't allow it, imo

Good to see you posting

Thanks chibob. Its been a tough stretch lately but its good to be back for a spell. I agree, Ozzie is gone unless he gets an extension by the end of the season. I read this morning he has a 4 year offer on the table from Florida. I would not blame him if he walks. If he goes I hope they clean house with KW gone also. If they hire Cora nothing will change. I would rather keep Ozzie than trade him for Cora. If the Cubs had the Sox staff all season, they would be in First Place today IMO.
Chicago missed the boat on Davey Johnson, a modern day Billy Martin.

A better staff for the Cubs wouldn't lead to a division title this season, because the D is too porous. Castro has a way to go on D. He is a little better this season, 23 errors compared to 26 last season, but he played oe less month last season.

It took them all season to start hitting HRs and now it's too late

I honestly hope Hahn is not in their future. Altho the W S won a WS, the make up of their organization doesn't impress me. What does, are the players they traded away. I would just as soon like to see someone from the Boston or Yanks system, second tier is okay.

I think Castro ends up at 3B or LF once they are open. A new mgr will make the switch. He is no SS, too many errors. He was 2nd in errors in the NL last year to Ian Desmond. Now that Dunn is gone, Castro will lead the NL in errors every year he plays SS. Their overall defense will beso much better with a good defensive ss.

Surprisingly, there is a GREAT SS in Texas, who has more errors than Castro, and is hitting about 30 points less

How about Peavy today. When he met with reporters afterwards, he made comments like, "They were hitting everything to left field, and the ball was just flying out."

Hahaha..How about some low fastballs away so they hit those shots to right or right center." Also alluded to the fct he wasn't feeling well. Always after he says that, never before.
