bears D way overrated but this move took balls that have never before been shown by the Bears upper management.

Erik Kramer is the best Qb my favorite team has had while I've been alive..im happy we are at least trying with cutler

Hardly rebuilding.

Angelo and Lovie are both under the gun to produce a strong contender, not 3 years from now, NOW. They have 2 years or so left on their contracts and unless they tend to get an early retirement, a top QB was a must.

Funny how Angelo stated soon after the SB that an upgrade was a MUST need from the QB position.

I am not saying they are going back to the SB this year, or next, but w'o Cutler, they had little chance. The D is getting older, so there is about a 2 year window to get it done.

Rather funny how all the brilliant naysayers come out when the Bears or Cubs make a move that strengthens their teams.

WCI, you funny guy.

Hawks may make an early exit, but they are the most improved team in the NHL, and all young kids, and within 2 years.

Bulls get top pick and cetainly are headed towards better years.

Cubs get Bradley and comments about what a dick he is.

Now Bears with a wasted trade.

And you have plenty of company here. All brilliant GM's in their own minds.

Too bad you don't lose your job so you can get out of Chicago where the fans seem to make you ill and get back to Boston.

Point is, no one gives a fak but you.

You are quick to note when Bear fans bring up the 85 Bears..Like we are supposed to forget them?

Their 5 year record of 62-17 exceeds the current Pats run of 59-21, but I would bet you won't forget this span of 5 years, just like Bear fans.

Time will tell whether you're right about any of it.

And really, you really should head back to Boston and get away from Chicago. The city sure doesn't need you, but my guess is you need the city.

Bob, just hang your hat on the Bulls. Bears suck and will for a good while with Cutler.

as Seanie just said. it was freaking 1985. i was getting cursed out in 2009 for talking about the 2007 redsox winning it all and you are still hung up on ancient history.

as for a 5 years span. I could give a shit. all i care about is winning 3 superbowls this decade...something the Bears have not come close do doing.

i love Chicago. ive made a home here for the last 10 years. Its one of the best cities in the world and i plan on staying for awhile, but it doesnt have to mean i like some of the fans that represent the teams here just like nobody likes boston or NY fans (besides themselves). But to be nice. I do like the bulls and hawks. the cubs, sox, and bears i dont...because of the fans and believe me...some of my closest friends are fans of those teams...so i live with it and support them

so while you are still drinking the ditka, mcmahon, payton kool-aid Ill go back to being a fan of my teams in this decade.
