I agree on the defense. Ever since Rivera left, the defense has struggled. I like how the Bears did in the draft last year if some of these guys pan out.

He was the only coach the Bears had with NFL experience. Lovie liked college coaches, ya know, rah rah faks. This off season he finally chitcanned all the coaches who had no prior NFL coaching experience and went with pros.

The biggest move was bringing in Merinelli to handle the D Line, which slipped a lot, considering their age. If he turns them around, the D will be fine. If not, problems continue.

Simms, who signed a two-year, $6 million free agent deal to previously serve as Cutler's backup, has thrown "just two passes" since undergoing emergency surgery to remove his spleen after a game in 2006

Not bad ..... for a guy who's thrown 2
passes ...

All I remember about Mr. Simms is phucking off the Big 12 Championship and a trip to the National Championship .........

now that I got that off my chest...I hope he is able to succeed in Denver.

always knew Dungy had some sense

"Tony Dungy isn't sure Jay Cutler is the answer for the Chicago Bears -- not yet, at least.

The former Indianapolis Colts coach, now a studio football analyst for NBC, on Wednesday questioned whether Cutler had the leadership and maturity to take the Bears to the next level.

Dungy said the Bears gambled when they dealt starter Kyle Orton to the Denver Broncos for Cutler, who had a very messy, public divorce with the Broncos and new coach Josh McDaniel"

exactly. franchise QBs, and young ones at that, aren't exactly easy to come by. say what you want about his record and whatever, but the guy can play and arms like his aren't exactly common.

dungy is accurate on his analysis tho...cutler has no leadership qualities at all, and yes giving up two first round picks for him is a risk

Exactly how does a Qb with 2 years of experience demonstrate leadership qualities? Give it some time!

They will be ok. Mistakes by everyone on the team and still had a shot at tying the game. Need to win at the Bungels next week.

O line sux

They gave some dickhead $14M and he can't block a pop warner nose guard..C Williams played Matadore all night long. And Pace, what a dumbass move by someone who knows better.

Forte, who taught that fuk to carry the ball at the goal line..

But, receivers are just fine, so concentration on the O Line is a necessity.

o-line very old and clearly need work. defense played well enough to win that game. when you turn it over in the red zone twice you're going to struggle
