MLB 57 game hitting streak rules, Q&A and prizes

MLB 57 game hitting streak rules, Q&A and prizes

Hitting Streak is back again!

Here is the deal. You are trying to put together the longest hitting streak possible. If you beat Joe Dimaggio's hitting streak of 56 games - you win the grand prize. The contest is for the 2010 MLB regular season only

Read the Rules carefully. A mistake could cost you your streak.
How you play?

You will start your own thread with "Jack's Streak (your forum name) in the title.

Each day - You will pick one player you think will get a hit today in any baseball game. If your player gets a hit, you play again to continue the streak by choosing another player the next day. Reply to the same thread and add Streak # in subject. If you lose, the streak is over and you have to go back to ZERO and start again. You CAN NOT play more than one hitter in a day. You are playing one game at a time. YOU CAN NOT post another game until your game is OFFICIALLY FINAL.

*** NEW RULE *** You can't play the same hitter twice in a row

When you start a new streak - please type clearly in your thread "new streak".

You may start a new thread for a new streak or keep it in the same thread. HOWEVER during a streak you must keep it in the same thread

Some Important Rules

You may start or continue a streak at any time prior to any game starting. You may not play another game while current game is ongoing, no matter the score or situation in game.

Once entered - it's final. You may not change your pick. Doesn't matter if it's a mistake, pitching change or any other thing not mentioned here.

Posting in the wrong thread, posting early or any possible mistake can BLOW YOUR STREAK. Ask questions if you are not sure.

You may use the same player more than once BUT you may not use the same player twice in a row.

If you choose a player who does not play in the game or that does not get any official at bats in an official game - it will be a no play. If they get even one official at bat, it will count.

If a game is official by MLB standards - the game will count.

If a game is rained-out or suspended - the game will not count and your streak will remain intact.

A hit is defined as a single, double, triple or homerun.

When you get to the first level (10 game hitting streak) - You automatically win the prize. As you reach the next level (2nd), you have a choice to STOP THE STREAK and COLLECT THAT PRIZE or to CONTINUE YOUR STREAK. You must mark in your thread (STREAK ENDED) in the appropriate time allowed (7 days)

* If you go 7 days without a pick - your streak goes back to zero.

At each prize level - you must post in the Prize Notification thread that you have hit a certain streak and I will verify all winning streaks.

PRIZE LEVELS

10 GAME HITTING STREAK - Cappers Mall TShirt
13 GAME HITTING STREAK - $25 free play

If you have a concern or question about your streak or anything else, you should post that question in this thread before you make any post.

Definitely hard but still fun.

It is a little harder not playing same player twice in a row but some didn't really play, they just came to the site and typed Ichiro Suzuki everyday. lol

I think I used Helton more than anyone else! A lot of Helton and Pujols last year for me.

Love this contest, though. Glad to see it back.

that ' no same player in a row' rule makes it really challenging.
this will be tough to win. I think I got a couple shirts last year, but I guarantee you I used the same player in a row often
