hockey question

Some sites do 3 way lines, like they do for soccer. What is the percent of games that go to overtime?

You might have to crunch your own numbers for that. The stats data for NHL on the net is pretty limited compared to alot of other sports.
If you were to bet ties on a regular basis, I can't emphasis enough how important getting the best price avaliable is. Just a quick look just now on the Blues v Ducks tomorrow.
Pinny +309, centrebet +330, betfair +360. Big difference for its long term viability getting +360 compared to +309.

Look at the shootout/ot losses for the whole league and add them together. sum all the games played, divide by 2. divide total A by total B. On any given year this usually hovers between 12.5 and 20% It's a total crapshoot.
What are the payouts like for the ties?

It may seem like a craphoot to you. But if you have methods that are decent at predicting close games, you can eliminate a decent % of games.
