labouchere system

are people familiar with this...if so please help....I searched CM and googled it....I understand the system, but no where does it tell you how to determine what games to pick...do you decide on your own...lets say for NHL, who do i choose to play on and try the system...:eyesr

I dont know for sure, but I think the system is built for wagers rather than pics.
Ive seen it around, just cant remember it`s premise.
Lemme look around.

i read that one...still don't get how to put this into sports...how do I determine which games to pick in nba, nhl, mlb or nfl game, that's my confusion...it seems you just pick your own games...

Yup you pic em and use the system for MManagement.
Maybe try the system on your bestbets plays.

Yeah it's just for money management. I tried it on roulette and you have to start with small bets or have deep pockets because a bad streak can run you up pretty quick.

question

so tonight I'm taking Islanders over and Devils under in hockey

whats my starting Labby Line?

5-5-5-5-5

if one wins and one loses is this my next line

X-5-5-5-X-10 (i guess it could look like this without the X's 5-5-5-10)

then the next day If I had two more bets it would be $15 on each game?

I think you have to bet 1 game at a time because a win or loss will change the amount of your next bet.

You could bet both games just use two 5 5 5 5 5's and start with 10 on each and adjust win or lose.

To simplify what the system is all about, it's a money management system for any gambling. It's a negative progression method of betting which is a fancy way to say that you're increasing your bets when you're losing. In essence, you're chasing your losses. Typically, you'll end up winning your losses back; however, at some point, your funds are limited and you WILL be bankrupt.

I tried this system (or variations thereof) with Roulette (European) and did end up getting a bankroll of up to a few hundred (starting with just $1 bets) but a bad streak pretty much annihilated the whole thing. This has occurred a few times so I guess there are times when you can make a decent run, but having a maximum bet (or shallow pockets) will eventually take you out.

I also tried this systems with sports betting as well (just with my own BEST BETS), but anyone whose done any betting for any amount of time knows that there will be times when you could lose several consecutive bets in a row. And that's where you can lose everything. It's a slow progression upwards, but the downward drop can be precipitous.

There is a book titled (I think) "13 against the bank" where the author claimed his team beat casinos in Europe by using a reverse laboucherel system, where you increase bets as you win.

I can't do the math to prove it, but I doubt that there is any money management system that will produce profits where there is vig and a system that produces 50% or less wining bets.

In the labouchere system, sooner or later, one will reach either the limit of your bankroll or the table limit. Tilt.
