potential BOL newbie, pls help.

I'm considering opening an online betting account for the first time. I've been playing OLG proline for years, and people tell me it's a rip, and BOL pays more. Last night i caught a 5 team parlay, chi over buf su, was over mon su, ana over phx su, col over fla su, and wvrg over mrsh by 6. It payed 12.5-1 odds. My question is 2 part how much more could i have made online, and with some of the recent posts about how people have gotten ripped bol, is it worth it?

ok here is the main difference. Proline pays 4-1 on a 3 game parlay while online books pay 6-1. Proline tries to tell you it's 5-1 but remember they take money from you and don't pay it back on a win...Example: 3 game parlay $50 pays $250...You clear $200 therefore 4-1. I could go on and on. Even money on a 2 game parlay is probably the most evil though. Even if they introduce single game betting in Ontario I guarantee it will be a 20 cent line. Canadian government is basically hoping enough morons will play this to sustain their greedy objectives...so far,so good.

Agree with the above 2 posters, and also what Gobb said about the 20 cent line. Dont wait for something better to come from the government than what you can get online.
A 4 team football PS on proline pays out 9 times your wager $50 x 10 = $500. On Party Bets that same wager last week would pay out $665 a difference of $165. But thats not all since you also accumulate bonus points, 1 point for every dollar bet your are getting another kickback. $50 = 50 points worth about 5% or $2.5 with the bonus points kickingg in higher the more you spend. Also you get sign up bonuses from many sites, more variety of games, single bets, no expenses running out to the store or time used to fill out slips.
Proline has advantages, get paid cash next day, soccer odds are usually better, hockey odds can be pretty good, pointspreads can have some big discrepancies and the odds are slower to change when the online odds change but if you only have time to play one go with an online book.

make sure you use a reputable book like Pinnacle first and foremost, also sign on with other books like 5 Dimes and Bookmaker for line comparison.
I use Pinnacle mostly and deposit with Instadebit(you will have to sign up with them as well). I see too many foolish gamblers (or lazy) betting with creditcards.
Instadebit with a separate gambling bank acc. has done me well for the past 7-8 years.

Partybets is under the Party Gaming banner and they merged a while back with Betwin to become the world's largest publicly traded online gambling firm. You'll have no problem receiving money from them. The others mentioned above are excellent.
